31.07.2008, LipiDiDiet members at the ICAD

July 26-31, Chicago

14 members of the LipiDiDiet consortium represented the project at the ICAD, the International Conference on Alzheimer's Disease 2008 (http://www.alz.org/icad/), which took place in the Alzheimer's Association hometown of Chicago. With nearly 5,400 participants, ICAD 2008 was the largest group of Alzheimer researchers ever convened. It was announced in Chicago that ICAD will now become an annual event to keep pace with the rapidly changing Alzheimer research field, with the next conference taking place in Vienna, Austria, in 2009.

In addition to attending the conference, the LipiDiDiet group met for an internal project meeting, during which Tobias Hartmann could announce the good news from Brussels that the LipiDiDiet contract had been signed by the European Commission, allowing for the project to officially start August 1, 2008.
